Skate for a Cure 5K Relay
Marvin Bowe, the Connecticut Outdoor Challenge’s Race Director, lost his mom, Patricia Robinson, in February 2018 to dementia. He has created a 5K Skate for a Cure Relay to honor his mother and help the Alzheimer’s Association in their fight to find a cure.
We will be having a 5K Skate for a Cure Relay following the Connecticut Outdoor Challenge marathon race at 12 p.m. This 5K is a 3-mile (3 laps) around the road course at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain, CT.
Available for purchase are $20 “Skate for a Cure” T-shirts where 100% of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association to support the efforts which will benefit research to battle this disease.
However, if you are unable to make it to the race and would still like to purchase a t-shirt or make a direct donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, please visit the www.skateforacurect.org/t-shirt/.
